Havana, September 7 (RHC)-- Army General Raul Castro Ruz congratulated on Monday the combatants of Cuba's Personal Security on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of that force dedicated to protecting the leaders of the Revolution.

According to the national press, the historic leader sent a letter in which he praised 'the brilliant service record' of these workers.

"Those of us who have been and are protected by you also consider you part of our families, and on such a significant date, we could not fail to remember the founders and those who fell in the sacred fulfillment of their duty and who constitute for all of us an example to follow," he wrote.

Raul Castro highlighted the affection, respect, and recognition of the island's people to these combatants.

Earlier, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel also congratulated these combatants.

On Twitter, the President highlighted the professionalism and loyalty of its members.
