Havana, Oct 1 (RHC) Havana's National Capitol received the first mention in the Gubbio Award 2021, Latin America and the Caribbean Section, whose results were announced from virtual platforms.
The international jury valued that the restoration of this monumental building is exemplary from the technical and methodological point of view, by restoring an important symbol of Cuba as the seat of Parliament and improving the quality of the environment.
The main awards went to the Matta Sur Community Health Center in Santiago, Chile, and Los parques del Bajo, in Buenos Aires, in an edition for which 29 proposals were received from 12 Latin American and Caribbean countries.
The Gubbio Award -named after this Italian city- is also given in Italy and Europe, and promotes advances in urban interventions in sites of historical interest. (Source: Radio Reloj)
