Cuba's Parliament with broad legislative agenda in the upcoming ordinary session

Havana, December 15 (RHC)--The next ordinary session of the Cuban Parliament will continue with the broad legislative agenda in its 9th Legislature, which is scheduled to take place after the approval of the country's Constitution, said the body's secretary, Homero Acosta.

Between December 18 and 19, the deputies to the National Assembly of People's Power will analyze the bills presented before the plenary session as part of the work in commissions, he said in statements to the  Round Table television program.
The proposals include the Law on Military Courts, the Law on Military Criminal Procedure, the Law on Territorial and Urban Planning and Land Management, and the Family Code.

In addition, the Plan of the Economy and the Budget for 2022 will be presented for the detailed analysis of each parliamentary commission and other issues of these.

Meanwhile, Acosta explained, on the 20th, the Ministries of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Domestic Trade, Agriculture, and Food Industry will give information on their performance during the year to the deputies.

For the beginning of the plenary session on the 21st,  the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Alejandro Gil, will offer the Parliament a summary of this activity in the nation during 2021 and the Plan for 2022, he added.

On the same day, the deputies will analyze the four projects submitted for approval.

On December 22, the National Assembly will start the second day of the plenary session with recognition to educators on their day, coinciding with the anniversary of the literacy campaign.

Likewise, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero and the government authorities of the province of Sancti Spiritus will report to the Assembly.
