Downtown Pinar del Rio
Havana, January 27 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel and Prime Minister Manuel Marrero are touring the western province of Pinar del Río this Thursday.
The President announced on Twitter that together with the Council of Ministers, they will make a governmental visit to that territory in "another opportunity for dialogue with our people, to visit communities, workplaces, universities, where creative resistance is born."
The presidency of the Republic said this is the third governmental visit made by the Council of Ministers to Pinar del Río, as similar tours occurred in 2018 and 2019.
The objective of this practice is to verify in contact with neighbors and workplaces, study centers, and other entities, the situation of the territory, the fulfillment of the proposals emanating from previous visits, progress, challenges, and difficulties.
Díaz-Canel and other high-ranking officials of the country have insisted on deploying a work style at all levels of government characterized by "going down" to the grassroots to learn first-hand about the population's aspirations and seek solutions to the problems.
In recent days, the President participated in tours in the provinces of Sancti Spiritus, Villa Clara, and Cienfuegos, in the central zone of the country, where he insisted on the concept of "creative resistance."
