The popular consultation on the draft Family Code Law will take place starting today, Tuesday, in the electoral councils of the eight municipalities of Cienfuegos, as well as in the rest of Cuba.  Meeting points were organized for voters to attend and present their written or oral proposals, in order to facilitate the gathering of people's opinions. 

Havana, February 1 (RHC)-- The popular consultation on the draft Family Code Law will take place starting today, Tuesday, in the electoral councils of the eight municipalities of Cienfuegos, as well as in the rest of Cuba.  Meeting points were organized for voters to attend and present their written or oral proposals, in order to facilitate the gathering of people's opinions. 

Amada Zequeira Angarica, President of the Provincial Electoral Council informed that Cienfuegos is ready to carry out the process, which will last until April 30.  "Cienfuegos, as the whole country, will have the opportunity, through its voters, to raise and propose the considerations it has on the matter. Everyone knows that it is a project that has been in progress throughout the previous year." 

The inclusion of the considerations of specialized organizations has been demonstrated and now it is up to the Cuban people, as always.  Amada specifies that "it will allow us to have the most innovative Code that we have had so far in the country."
