Al Jazeera urged the international community to condemn and hold the Israeli forces accountable for the killing of Shireen Abu Akleh [Al Jazeera]
Havana, May 12 (RHC)—Cuba condemned the cowardly murder of prominent Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh by Israeli forces.
The island´s Foreign Minister said on Twitter that Shireen's death will not prevent the world from learning about the crimes committed against the Palestinians.
“Our condolences to her family and friends,” he concluded.
The U.S.-Palestinian journalist was shot dead by Israeli forces on Wednesday while reporting for the outlet Al Jazeera in Jenin in the occupied West Bank.
The murder has sparked the condemnation of world leaders, who have called for an independent and transparent investigation.
