Ankara, June 27 (RHC) The parliaments of Cuba and Turkey are expanding their ties due to the official visit of a delegation from the Caribbean nation to Ankara.

The Cuban delegation is headed by the vice president of the National Assembly of People's Power, Ana María Mari Machado. It includes the head of the International Relations Commission, Yolanda Ferrer, and official Zailin Gaulhiac.

The work plan includes conversations with parliamentary leaders and members of solidarity initiatives with Havana.

The links between the legislative bodies of both countries include cooperation and support in multilateral organizations condemning the U.S. blockade of the Cuban people.

Last January, the Turkish Grand National Assembly president, Mustafa Şentop, said in a letter that he hopes that cooperative relations between the two parliaments will soon be strengthened with reciprocal inter-parliamentary visits.
