Havana, June 28 (RHC)-- A new group of Haitian migrants arrived at Cayo Francés in the central municipality of Caibarién, north of Villa Clara province.

Public health specialists provided medical attention to the group of 102 men, 46 women, and 31 children who were traveling in a fragile boat bound for the United States.

Government authorities, the rescue corps, the Red Cross, Transport, and the Ministry of the Interior arrived in Villa Clara and offered humanitarian aid following international protocols.

The migrants have been transferred to the William Darias establishment on the outskirts of Santa Clara, where they will be attended to per Cuba's humanist and solidarity vocation.

According to the deputy Governor of Villa Clara, Milaxy Sánchez Armas, in the next few days, these people will be returned to their country of origin, following the international commitments on migration to which Cuba is a party.
