Havana, July 10 (RHC)-- Swiss solidarity activists on Sunday described Cuba as a small island with a great people, to ratify the phrase they displayed the day before on a banner during the Tour de France cycling race, reports a Prensa Latina report from Berne.
The Swiss-Cuba Association reiterated its support to the Antillean nation and its recognition of the solidarity work of its doctors and health professionals, which the world witnessed once again in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
This Saturday, in the Vallée de Joux, the Cuban flag, the banner in support of the beleaguered island and an image of its doctors attracted attention during the ascent of the peloton of cyclists to the Col de Pétra Félix, in Swiss territory, in the eighth stage of the 109th edition of the Grande Boucle.
The Vaud section of the Swiss-Cuba Association, presided by Michel Fleury, was in charge of the initiative, and the photos of the event have been circulating in the last few hours on social networks.
