Santiago de Cuba, July 30 (RHC) -- Cubans are marking the Day of the Martyrs of the Revolution and the 57th anniversary of the assassination of the revolutionaries Frank Pais and Raul Pujol.
A memorial tribute was held at the site in the city of Santiago de Cuba, where the two revolutionary fighters were assassinated by soldiers of the Batista dictatorship.
Families of martyrs, fighters of the Revolution and community residents will gathered there to recall the legacy of those youngsters and their indelible mark on Cuban history.
In the afternoon a traditional pilgrimage is being made from the iconic Parque Céspedes to the Saint Iphigenia cemetery, with the attendance workers from all unions, the highest authorities of the province and a representation of the people.
