Havana, September 6 (RHC)-- The 55th anniversary of Cohiba, the most emblematic and prestigious brand of the Habanos Corporation, SA, will be celebrated from Wednesday to Friday with several events for the recognition and commercialization of the traditional exportable cigar brand.

According to a press release, after a year of waiting due the pandemic, the company will celebrate these lustrums "of history and success with a program full of surprises for aficionados of what is considered the best cigar in the world".

The program will begin on Wednesday with the welcome evening at the El Laguito Protoco lHall.

The Hall is located near the famous factory, the birthplace of Cohiba cigars. On Thursday morning, its workers and managers will welcome participants in the celebration, which will close Friday with a gala dinner at the Pabexpo fairgrounds.

According to the program, the Habanos 2020 and 2021 Awards will be presented in different categories. There will be an auction of humidors, the proceeds of which will go entirely to Cuba's Public Health System.

These activities are usually held during the Habano Festival in February, but the prestigious event could not take place in the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Habanos S.A. is a world leader in the marketing of Premium cigars and has an exclusive distribution network in more than 160 countries.

It markets 27 Premium brands that are entirely handmade and protected by the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO), including Cohiba, Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, Partagás, Hoyo de Monterrey, and H. Upmann.
