NY, Sep 29(Telesur) - The United Nations (UN) announced that it is offering emergency aid to Cuba after Hurricane Ian hit the country on Tuesday, resulting in two deaths and severe damage to electricity, agriculture, housing, roads, and others.
According to UN spokesman Stéphane Dujarric, although resources are scarce, the agency is "ready to support additional needs that are identified", and detailed that UN representatives are working with Cuban officials to analyze the impact of the meteorological organism and to speed up adequate responses to the crisis.
