A roof slab collapsed in a room of the building located at Sol No.466 between Egido and Villegas, in Old Havana

Havana, Oct 17 (RHC) At 7:10 a.m. this Monday a roof slab collapsed in a room of the building located at Sol No.466 between Egido and Villegas, in Old Havana, which caused the death of a girl. The detached element in the three-story building affected the lower room.

Immediately, local and provincial authorities moved to the scene along with firefighters, an ambulance, and the Ministry of the Interior.

The follow-up of the actions carried out at the scene of the events continues and the population will be informed promptly.

So far, two women and a minor have been found. All receive care in health institutions and the search for another minor continues.

The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel regretted the death of young girl Ismary Orozco, during the accident in Old Havana.
