The Fifteenth Health for All Trade Fair concludes in Havana

Havana, Oct 21 (RHC) After four productive days of conferences, exchanges, and associated activities and the signing of 16 new contracts and commercial agreements worth more than 45 million dollars, the 15th Health for All Trade Fair concluded Thursday at the Havana Convention Palace.

 

The closing ceremony of this event associated with the fourth Cuba Health 2022 International Convention was presided over by Jorge Luis Broche Lorenzo, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and head of its Department of Social Sector Attention, Ricardo Cabrisas, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba and José Ángel Portal Miranda, Minister of Public Health.

 

Also in attendance were Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment; Eduardo Rodríguez Dávila, Minister of Transportation; Antonio Carricarte Corona, President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic; and José Moya Medina, representative of the Pan American Health Organization in the Caribbean nation.

 

A total of 44 applications were submitted for the quality, stand design, product design, and communication awards. Of these, 19 were from foreign exhibitors from countries such as Germany, Spain, Italy, and Brazil, and 25 from Cuba.

 

Among those recognized with the quality award was the ventilator for adult intensive care, an innovation with Cuban technology, which confers technological sovereignty.

 

Also awarded in this first edition of Health for All were the best practices and results in the categories of media personality and specialized health tourism agencies.

 

The closing speech was given by Luis Fernando Nava Martínez, Vice-Minister of Health, who thanked delegates and guests for their attendance.

 

At Pabexpo, the companies supplying the health system exhibited their products and services aimed at guaranteeing the functioning and vitality of this important sector, said the vice-minister.

 

Thursday also saw the closing of the Health Tourism Fair, which, according to Navarro Martínez, concluded its first edition with a high level of satisfaction, quality, and participation, with 64 foreign companies from 19 markets and more than 60 national entities present at the Pabexpo site.

 

As part of the event, which sought to consolidate Cuba as a health tourism destination, 68 exchange activities took place and the parties signed 9 contracts and 7 letters of intent.

 

Organisms of the BioCubaFarma Group, entities of the sector, and other foreign companies were recognized for the products exhibited in both fairs, including the quality award to the company Combiomed for its high-performance pulmonary ventilator.

 

The I Medical Tourism and Wellness Fair distinguished, in the category of institution, the Cira García International Clinic, the leader in the country in the methodological processes related to this modality.

 

The Ministry of Public Health will hold the next Health for All and Medical Tourism and Wellness fairs in 2025. (Sources:ACN/Cubadebate)
