Southern Cross Brigade

Canberra, Dec 27 (RHC) The Southern Cross Brigade of Australia announced today that it will travel for the 38th time to Cuba, after two years of pause imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The 15 members of the Cuba solidarity movement will fly to the Caribbean Island on December 29 and will return home on January 17, 2023, after a stay that will allow them to delve into the political, economic, and social reality of the country, and learn a little more about its history.

According to what was known, the brigade will carry out a broad program coordinated by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), which includes a meeting with members of the Korimakao socio-cultural project and scientists who developed the Cuban vaccines against Covid-19, among other activities.

They will also visit the Fidel Castro Ruz Center and the Ernesto Che Guevara Sculpture Complex, as well as several universities and health centers.

The 38th trip of the Southern Cross Brigade ratifies the commitment of the Australian solidarity movement with the Government and people of Cuba and closes a year characterized by constant support to the Revolution, the energetic denunciation of the US blockade, and the collection of funds to help that nation.
