Azerbaijan-Cuba Friendship Society

Baku, January 9 (RHC) The president of the Azerbaijan-Cuba Friendship Society, Arif Huseynov, today sent a congratulatory message to the Cuban people on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution.

Huseynov, who was received Monday at the headquarters of Havana's diplomatic mission in Baku by Ambassador Carlos Valdes, expressed the support of the members of Azerbaijan's solidarity with the Cuban nation and the desire to continue strengthening the traditional ties of friendship between the two peoples.

Valdes told Prensa Latina that during the meeting Huseynov, who is also a distinguished artist of the people of Azerbaijan, delivered a congratulatory message to the authorities and people of Cuba.

In the letter, he reiterated that Cubans are known, in the historical memory of Azerbaijan, as a friendly nation and they wish it peace, prosperity, and tranquility.

Likewise, they also reaffirmed their unconditional support for the development and progress of Cuba, a country to which they have been united by unbreakable ties of brotherhood and friendship since the early years of the Cuban Revolution. (Source: PL)
