Havana, Jan 20 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez regretted Friday the death of his Gabonese counterpart, Michael Moussa Adamo, who died at the age of 62 due to a heart attack.

From his Twitter account, the Cuban foreign minister sent his heartfelt condolences to the people and government of the African nation, as well as to the family and relatives of the high-ranking official.

After suffering a heart attack during a cabinet meeting, Michael Moussa Adamo was transferred to an intensive care unit, but the doctors’ efforts were not enough.

The head of Gabonese diplomacy began his career in 1981 as a television news anchor and after graduating in international relations obtained a master's degree in 1989 from Boston University.

In 2000, he was elected to the National Assembly and appointed chief of staff to the Minister of Defense, and in September 2011 he was appointed ambassador to the United States. He was appointed head of Foreign Affairs in March 2022. (Source: Prensa Latina)
