Havana, March 14 (RHC) The Pan-Arab satellite information network Al Mayadeen will broadcast an interview with Cuban President Miguel Diaz Canel starting next weekend, the media outlet confirmed on Tuesday.

Network Director Ghassan Ben Jeddou, who visited Prensa Latina, told this news agency that the interview with the Cuban head of State will be broadcast in several parts, in which topics such as the Cuban Revolution and its challenges, and the situation in Latin America, will be dealt with.

During the interview, held at the Palace of the Revolution in Havana, Diaz Canel spoke about the economic, commercial, and financial blockade that the United States has imposed on Cuba.

In the pleasant dialogue with Ben Jeddou, the Cuban president referred to matters related to international politics, the situation in Palestine, and other important issues in the Arab and Islamic world, according to the Twitter account of the Cuban Presidency.

The head of Al Mayadeen highlighted the importance of the interview with the Cuban president on Tuesday when he meet Prensa Latina President Luis Enrique Gonzalez, with whom he discussed the existing collaboration between both journalistic organizations.

We are not just a media outlet, we are a project, a media rebellion in the region, which is why our alliance with Prensa Latina is so important, the visitor noted.

Collaborating with this news agency is like cooperating with ourselves. If we calculate what Prensa Latina has offered to the world, serving the truth of all of us, it has had initiatives and has broken molds to continue to develop, it is an example to follow, Ben Jeddou pointed out.

Gonzalez, in turn, underscored the fruitful cooperation and described it as a strategic alliance from two trenches in defense of true information, and assured that the Pan-Arab channel can always continue to count on the Latin American news agency. (Source: PL)
