Young candidates in Cuban Parliament
Camagüey, March 17 (RHC) The province of Camagüey can boast today of two of the youngest candidates for deputies to the National Assembly of Cuba, both members of the University Student Federation (FEU).
Proposed for Parliament and approved at the highest levels of the organization, Laura Mariam Bacallao, aged 22, expressed in an interview with Prensa Latina that "when one really understands that concerns are taken into account and becomes a candidate, one knows that the country is in the hands of young people”.
With 35 candidates for deputies to Parliament, Camagüey has programmed tours to remote communities and productive centers to learn about the concerns of the population. (Source: PL)
