Cuba and China sign agreement on cybersecurity
Havana, Apr 3 (RHC) Representatives of China and Cuba today signed an agreement on cybersecurity, which they ratified the will of their governments to work for an internet based on the development and well-being of the peoples.
The agreement was signed by Mayra Arevich, Cuban Minister of Communications, and Cao Shuming, China’s Deputy Head of Cyberspace Administration, in the context of a working visit made by a high-level delegation headed by the Vice Prime Minister Jorge Luis Perdomo.
During the day, the leader also discussed various issues on the bilateral economic agenda with Wang Weidong, executive vice president of the China Development Bank, and Sheng Hetai, president of the Export Credit Insurance Corporation.
Likewise, he was received by Han Fangming, who heads the Charhar academic institute, and with whom he agreed to strengthen educational and cultural exchanges between both territories.
Perdomo arrived in Beijing last Thursday and since then has spoken with high-ranking Chinese authorities such as Vice Premier Zhang Guoqing; Jin Zhuanglong, head of Industries and Information Technology; Luo Zhaohui the president of the Agency for International Development; and Zeng Yixin, vice president of the National Health Commission, among other figures.
Perdomo’s working visit will continue tomorrow in Changchun, Jilin province, where he will meet with local authorities and tour the Changheber joint venture. (Source: Prensa Latina)
