Cuba and Bosnia and Herzegovina will strengthen relations between foreign ministries
Havana, Apr 26 (RHC) - Cuba and Bosnia and Herzegovina will sign today a memorandum of understanding to strengthen the mechanism of Inter-Foreign Ministry Political Consultations.
This was announced by Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canel during official talks with his counterpart from the Balkan country, Željka Cvijanović, who is making an official visit to the island.
Díaz-Canel proposed that the legislative structures of both nations expand their exchanges to support the already existing friendly relationship. He added that in the economic, commercial and social spheres, mutually beneficial projects can be carried out in areas such as agriculture, food production, tourism, higher education, biotechnology, science, technology and innovation. He also thanked Bosnia and Herzegovina’s traditional support in Cuba's fight against the US economic, commercial and financial blockade.
This first visit by a Bosnian leader to Havana takes place in the context of the 26th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. (Source: Prensa Latina)
