Centenary of the national leader of Azerbaijan is remembered in Cuba
Havana, May 10 (RHC) The Azerbaijani embassy in Cuba, together with representatives of the island's Foreign Ministry and members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Havana, celebrated this Wednesday the centenary of the Azerbaijan’s national leader, Heydar Aliyev.
On the occasion of the anniversary, the Baku ambassador in the Cuban capital, Ruslan Rzayev, inaugurated the photographic exhibition Heydar Aliyev 100, moments of life, which summarizes the extensive political career of the first president and founding leader of modern Azerbaijan at the José Martí National Library.
The diplomat highlighted Aliyev's contributions to the consolidation of independence and industrialization of his country, in the midst of complex circumstances, and his imprint on current efforts to promote development.
He stressed that in tribute to that prominent son of Azerbaijan, 2023 was declared by President Ilham Aliyev, 'Year of Heydar Aliyev'. (Source: Prensa Latina)
