Clarification of violent events in the municipality of Havana
Havana, May 27 (RHC) -- The Government of Havana clarified the violent incident that took place the day before in the municipality of Centro Habana, which involved an individual with a firearm, several media outlets reported Friday.
According to local newspaper Tribuna de La Habana, two citizens were wounded, one of them (37 years old) was seriously injured and life-threatening, while the other (50 years old) is the director of the Raíces Profundas Folkloric Company.
Government authorities and the Cuban Communist Party of the territory immediately arrived at the scene of the incident. The injured were referred for medical assistance and are being attended by health professionals.
The information specifies that the incident took place initially in the public street and then in a folkloric center, while the 37 year-old citizen was fleeing from an alleged settling of scores.
The Ministry of the Interior is working on the corresponding investigations to clarify this fact and no resources or timetables are being spared for the prompt capture of those involved.
