Cuba ratifies will to strengthen cooperation with Madagascar
Havana, June 26 (RHC) The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Relations reiterated today through its Twitter account the willingness to continue strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation with Madagascar, on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of Madagascar’s national holiday, a festivity that commemorates its independence from France in 1960.
Diplomatic ties between the Cuban and Malagasy governments were established on April 11, 1974. Since then, bilateral relations have been strengthened in different areas of exchange.
The Antillean island appreciates the support of Madagascar in the fight for the lifting of the United States blockade against Cuba, which is expressed by its vote in favor of the United Nations resolutions that demand the cessation of the siege imposed by Washington to the Caribbean nation more than six decades ago.
