The signature was made at the end of the visit of a delegation from that Eastern European country to the largest island of the Antilles.

During the last days of July, the visitors toured research centers, companies, cooperatives, and farms in western Cuba, and signed the bases for cooperation, the establishment of research, and joint developments within the framework of coordinated directions.

They also provide for the commercialization of the results of joint activities in the two Republics and in third countries, the exchange of information and technologies, and the use of the scientific infrastructure of both parties.

When signing the document, Dmitry M. Bogdanovich -director of the Scientific Center of the Belarusian Academy of Sciences for animal husbandry- and Telce González Morera - director of Science, Technology, Innovation and the Environment of the Cuban Ministry of Tourism- admitted that it reinforces the potential scientists and technicians from both countries.
