Havana, August 28 (ACN)-- The foreign ministers of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, and Namibia, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, today signed three agreements to strengthen cooperation for the mutual benefit of both nations, the Cuban Foreign Ministry reported.

The documents, signed in the presence of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel and his counterpart, Hage Geingob, include a memorandum of understanding between the Namibian Ministry of Trade and the Center for the Promotion of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of the largest of the Antilles.

The Caribbean nation's president expressed on Sunday the willingness to continue and strengthen cooperation with this African nation, during official talks with Geingob.

He stressed that his visit has a special significance, among other reasons because the current generation of Cuban leaders defines itself as the continuity of the Revolution, and "this includes solidarity with our brothers, including the strengthening of our friendship with Namibia, its government and its people".

President Díaz-Canel culminates in Namibia a tour that previously took him in that capacity to Angola and Mozambique, as well as, in his capacity as president of the G77 and China, to South Africa to participate in the 15th BRICS Summit.
