Representative of the Paris Club concludes visit to Cuba

Havana, Sept 1 (RHC) The working visit to Havana by William Ross, co-chairman of the Ad-Hoc Group of Cuba's creditor countries in the Paris Club, concluded this Thursday afternoon.

During the exchanges, the Cuban side reiterated its willingness to honor the commitments assumed with international creditors, and explained the factors that affect negatively in the growth of the main economic indicators.

The sustained dialogues are an approach in the search for alternatives to solve the arrears in the obligations contracted, for which the parties will continue the negotiations until they establish a new schedule acceptable to both.

On the other hand, as a result of the visits made by the delegation to various projects being developed with the support of French entities in Cuba, it was possible to verify the impact of bilateral cooperation in production and services, as well as the willingness to continue deepening collaboration with Cuban beneficiaries.
