Havana, September 9 (RHC)-- The plenary session of the Second National Assembly of the Federation of High School Students (FEEM) is being held this Saturday with the presence of the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CC-PCC) and president of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel.

The event, which since Friday is being held at the University of the Communist Party of Cuba 'Ñico López', in Havana, counted some 270 delegates and guests from all over the country.

In different spaces they expressed their main concerns in order to adopt actions aimed at strengthening the internal functioning of the FEEM in areas such as communication, political-ideological work, the implementation of projects and sports, pedagogical and artistic education, among others.

Under the slogan "Here with Cuba", the assembly delved into approaches of the more than 270 thousand students affiliated to the organization, referring to the internal life of schools, recreation, access to activities and the importance of quality education at the height of the demands of the present times.

Accompanying the president were Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau of the PCC and secretary of Organization of the Central Committee; Jorge Luis Broche Lorenzo, member of the Secretariat and head of the Department of Attention to the Social Sector of the CC-PCC; Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella, deputy prime minister; Aylín Álvarez García, first secretary of the Union of Young Communists, and the ministers of Education, Naima Trujillo; Culture, Alpidio Alonso; and Public Health, José Ángel Portal.
