Havana, September 16 (RHC)-- Specialists from Cuba and from more than 20 other countries will meet from September 22nd to September 27th in Trinidad, Sancti Spiritus, for the 15th Cuban Congress of Orthopedics and Traumatology, paying tribute to the 500th anniversary of the foundation of the village.
Experts from Mexico, Argentina, Spain, Ecuador, Canada, Japan, France, Germany, among others, will discuss concepts related to the specialty at a global level, and will set the basis for future collaboration and joint development programs.
“'Orthopedics 2014' has as major topics of discussion the development of upper limb prosthesis, spinal surgery and pediatric orthopedics,” according to Dr. Rodrigo Alvarez Cambras. Speaking to reporters, Cambras said that the agenda of the meeting also includes the Cuba-Mexico Fifth Bilateral Meeting and the 3rd Cuba-Argentina Symposium.
President of the Cuban Society of Orthopedics, Dr. Rodrigo Alvarez Cambras, said that the discussion, the lectures on the teaching of surgery, the seminars and workshops on the agenda would make Orthopedics 2014 a learning space.
