Russia with offers for cooperation with Cuba in the energy sphere
Havana, Nov 10 (RHC) The Russian region of Riazan today proposed to Cuba solutions for processing of heavy oil, pharmaceutical and agro-industrial cooperation, as well as teaching, in the context of the 39th Havana International Fair.
Sergey Shirokov, deputy head of the Export Center of the Russian region of Riazan, indicated that the company Skopinpharm, one of the largest in the pharmaceutical production in his country, is preparing a joint project with the Cuban company Biocubafarma.
Shirokov pointed out that there is also dialogue with Biocubafarma to establish part of its direct production in Riazan.
On the other hand, he referred to talks between the Promzona and the Cupet companies to establish in Cuba a joint company for the production of equipment to process used car oil and transmission oils to obtain diesel, which is in deficit in the Caribbean island. He commented that the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment showed interest in the project.
According to the Russian official, much of the machine oil already used can be recovered, to avoid the emission of polluting gases into the atmosphere, in a process where bioethanol and waste products are obtained and can be used as animal feed, among other uses.
The company is willing to install the equipment in Cuba, prepare the specialists and begin assembly. The Cuban side proposed creating a joint company, stressed the deputy head of the Riazan Export Center.
Regarding food products, the Cuban partners showed great interest in the offers of the Lina company, with crepes and frozen fritters from the Aladi brand.
On the other hand, the official considered that there are great teaching prospects for Cuban students, commenting on the possibilities of Riazan not only as an industrial center, but also as a teaching hub, equipped with important universities.
In addition, Riazan is called the capital of the Russian landing troops, where there is a faculty that can prepare Cuban soldiers, he said.
The Russian pavilion also celebrated the 65th anniversary of its legendary company Mashpriborintorg this day, in a ceremony attended by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment of Cuba, Ana Teresita González Fraga. (Source: PL)
