The Cuban vice president of Cuba arrived in Ghana on official visit as part of a tour of Africa
Havana, Nov 13 (RHC) The vice president of Cuba, Salvador Valdés, arrived today in Ghana, the first stop on a tour of Africa that will last until the 22nd and includes Guinea Bissau, Rwanda and Ethiopia.
The Cuban leader was received by the Ghanaian Deputy Minister of Tourism, Mark Okraku Mantey, upon his arrival in Accra. During his stay he will hold meetings with solidarity organizations and the Cuban medical brigade, as well as official meetings with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
He will also pay tribute to Kwame Nkrumah (1909-1972), one of the political leaders of the African country's independence,.
The official Cuban delegation is also made up of the First Vice Minister of Public Health, Tania Margarita Cruz, and the Deputy Director General of Bilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ángel Villa. (Source: PL)
