U.S. propaganda tries to justify a policy of suffocation against Cuba

Havana, Jul 11 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez said today that with lies and cynical propaganda, the United States is trying to justify its cruel and absurd policy of economic asphyxiation against the people of the Caribbean nation.

Through his account in X, Rodriguez informed that in recent days US politicians and the State Department are determined to slander the island, in a desperate search for electoral support from the anti-Cuban mafia.

Last Monday, the authorities of the Caribbean nation revealed details of an infiltration operation financed by the United States to carry out attacks against economic, social and military targets with destabilizing purposes.

Some of those involved in the organization, planning and financing of this operation are on the national list of persons involved in acts of terrorism against Cuba, including Willy Gonzalez, head of the paramilitary organization Nueva Nación Cubana en Armas, based in Florida.

According to Colonel Victor Alvarez, second in command of the Specialized Organ of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the Ministry of the Interior, such facts have been repeatedly denounced to the U.S. authorities without any action being taken.

According to analysts, the U.S. government's double standards in dealing with an issue as sensitive as terrorism expose the true nature of the policy with which successive U.S. administrations have sought to overthrow the Cuban Revolution for more than six decades. (Source: Prensa Latina)
