Venezuelan Ambassador to Cuba Orlando Maneiro

Havana, Aug. 8 (RHC) Venezuelan Ambassador to Cuba Orlando Maneiro on Wednesday denounced the millionaire machinery that is underway to destabilize the revolutionary process in his country, but assured that his compatriots will preserve sovereignty, peace and independence.

 The diplomat told Prensa Latina news agency that the principle of self-determination is being defended in the South American nation amid a colossal campaign to discredit the ongoing electoral process.

"In the eagerness to defeat the Bolivarian Revolution, a program is being financed from abroad that shows a fictitious country in digital networks and promotes violence among Venezuelans," he said.

Maneiro pointed out that the institutionality is ignored by those who follow imperial patterns and try to deny the political, social and economic achievements reached thanks to the revolutionary process.

He concluded by saying that "together with President Nicolás Maduro, the civil-military-police alliance and the people, we will defend the peace that is essential for the progress of the nation. (Source: Prensa Latina)
