Havana, August 21 (Red Web) -- The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, ratified this Wednesday that no one will be able to undermine the integrity of the nation.

In his account on the social network X, the Cuban leader emphasized that “those who seek to implicate Cuba in alleged practices of repression, espionage, persecution and torture in Venezuela, confuse history.  It was the United States, in its School of the Americas, that trained and exported torturers, repressors and coups d'état against our peoples.”

Díaz-Canel added to his message the statement issued the day before by the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINREX) in which the Government of Cuba denied any type of involvement in alleged violent practices in the sister Bolivarian Republic.

According to the text, the desperation to hide the failure of coup plans in Venezuela led a representative of the American oligarchies and geostrategic interests “to try to deceive public opinion with false and malicious accusations” against Cuba.

The MINREX statement clarifies that “it is not Cuba that interferes - and never will - in the political and economic life of another country with sanctions, pressures and plans for regime change.”

Cuba also “emphatically rejects the falsehoods that are fabricated to reinforce the harassment policy of various US governments, which includes the tightening of the economic blockade and the irrational inclusion of Cuba on a unilateral list of States that supposedly sponsor terrorism.”

“The indecorum and lies that the right uses as a banner will never be able to undermine the integrity of the Cuban Revolution and will never be able to overcome the will of the people,” the Foreign Ministry asserts.
