Havana, August 29 (RHC) The Cuban news agency Prensa Latina was today re-elected by the members of the Belt and Road News Network as part of the Board of Directors of this international cooperation platform.
In this way, it once again became the only news agency in Latin America and the Caribbean to be part of this Council.
The Belt and Road News Network (BRNN) currently consists of two hundred seventy-four media outlets and international organizations from one hundred ten countries.
The Third Council of the BRNN was formed in the Chinese city of Chengdu for the next two years with a focus on promoting communication dialogue and mutual understanding.
The members advocated for greater cooperation and the creation of platforms that allow them to jointly face global challenges such as fake news, Artificial Intelligence, the new scientific-technological revolution, among others.
According to Tuo Zhen, chairman of the People's Daily and BRNN Council, in the near future the News Network will focus on expanding the number of participants, strengthening mutual learning, holding more seminars and training programs, and promoting International Belt and Road Awards (IFR).
The idea is to build a more open and inclusive mechanism, with regional balance, that favors the exchange of people and training programs for generation Z in the midst of the celebrations for the fifth anniversary of the BRNN.
