Havana, February 1 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez this Friday met with the Spanish Member of the European Parliament, Irene Montero, during the 6th International Conference for the Balance of the World.

Rodríguez expressed the nation's commitment to gender equality and the advancement of women, which are fundamental aspects of the Cuban social agenda.

He also emphasized the importance of continuing and enhancing the Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement with the European Union.

The European Parliament member, known for her efforts in advocating for the rights of women and minority groups during her tenure as Spain's Minister of Equality, discussed with the Cuban minister the significance of advancing global initiatives that emphasize social justice and equality.

The Agreement on Political Dialogue and Cooperation between Cuba and the European Union, which has been in effect since 2017, is a crucial framework for the advancement of joint initiatives in areas such as sustainable development, human rights, and climate change adaptation. (Source: ACN)
