Panama City, March 9 (RHC)-- Some 30 Cuban entrepreneurs from different economic sectors will attend Panama´s Expocomer Trade Fair March 11-15, which this year marks the 100th anniversary of the local Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, (CCIAP), the main Panamanian private organization of its kind founded in May 1915.

The Cuban sectors to be represented at the fair include agriculture, food, health, communications, industry and trade, as well as transportation, the environment, education and other services, said Raul Fornell, Charge d' Affairs at the Cuban embassy in Panama.

Panama's Chamber of Commerce president Jose Luis Ford said he was very satisfied to again have Cuba's participation at the annual event, which opens avenues for business and trade with other countries.

Ford announced a meeting between Panama's Trade Minister and his Cuban counterpart to foster technical cooperation between the two nations.

For the first time, several Caribbean island nations and African countries will attend the fair, which has contributed to the economic growth of Panama over the past 33 years, said the president of the event´s organizing committee Raul Delvalle.
