Mexico City, April 16 (RHC) -– Mexico's Senate has urged the Government to boost economic relations with Cuba, with a view to the possible signing of a free trade agreement (FTA).
The Mexican Senate proposal comes amid warming relations between the United States and Cuba, and President Obama's decision to take Cuba off the so-called state sponsors of terrorism list.
The Mexican Senate said that enhanced bilateral cooperation with Cuba would give Mexico greater access to regional markets.
