Kathmandu, May 25 (RHC)-- Cuba's Henry Reeve medical brigade has offered its assistance in Nepal since May 15th, treating more than 2,000 victims of the devastating earthquake that struck the Asian nation one month ago.
The contingent of 49 health collaborators, specialized in dealing with disasters and major epidemics, is providing primary care services in the most affected communities from the capital district of Kathmandu and other towns.
Cuban professionals work together with doctors, paramedics and Nepalese authorities as well as representatives of the World Health Organization, the United Nations office in Kathmandu and non-governmental organizations like Doctors Without Borders.
