Havana, July 27 (RHC)-- Latin American social movements, personalities and solidarity organizations with Cuba evoked the 62nd anniversary of the attacks on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes barracks and highlighted the example of resistance and rebellion of the Cuban Revolution.
In statements to Prensa Latina news agency, Chilean Socialist deputy and granddaughter of Salvador Allende, Maya Fernández, said that the attack on the Moncada is a reflection of the fairness and soundness of the Cuban revolutionary process.
The outgoing ambassador of Chile in Uruguay, Eduardo Contreras, highlighted the ethics and morality of the Caribbean nation and welcomed the restoration of diplomatic relations between Washington and Havana.
And in Buenos Aires, an enthusiastic crowd filled the house of the Argentinian-Cuban Friendship Committee to celebrate July 26th, occasion in which hundreds of friends ratified their solidarity with Cuba and demanded an end to the U.S. blockade imposed on Cuba for more than half a century.
