Caracas, October 30 (RHC)-- The governments of Cuba and Venezuela presented Friday in Caracas the bilateral cooperation plan through 2030, a continuation of the comprehensive program signed 15 years ago between then Cuban President Fidel Castro and Bolivarian leader, the late Hugo Chavez.

During a ceremony at the Teresa Carreño theater, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro revealed new joint programs in such sectors like health, education, science and technology, among others.

During a ceremony Thursday, marking National Literacy Day, President Maduro said the goals set by Chavez and Fidel in the year 2000 are the same the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our Americas (ALBA) is striving to achieve for all its member states, perfectly in tune with the 17 sustainable development objectives set by the United Nations in the recently approved 2030 Agenda.
