Havana, February 4 (RHC)-- Cuba contributes many pharmaceuticals to the global fight against different types of cancer. Twenty-eight Cuban biotechnology products have been either registered or are at different research and development stages.
Cuban Doctor of Health Science Rolando Pérez Rodríguez delivered the opening remarks of the 5th International Seminar and National Workshop on the Development and Use of Isotopes in Medicine, which is holding sessions in Havana. He said that pharmaceuticals are called to play an ever-more prominent role in the fight against cancer, so much so that in the future advanced cancer would be considered a chronic, controllable disease.
