La Paz, May 28 (RHC-PL) -- Bolivian Interior Minister Carlos Romero has described as "extraordinary" the work of Cuban doctors who treated him for Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever.

Despite the seriousness of this disease, Romero has favorably passed the most difficult stage of treatment and is now recovering at his home on medical advice. Romero highlighted the work of the Cuban doctors who treated him with professionalism and dedication, and also expressed appreciation to President Evo Morales for his solidarity.

The Bolivian president has visited him repeatedly since he became ill on April 30. Evo Morales told reporters in La Paz that he especially thanked the Cuban doctors who saved his interior minister's life.
