Geneva, May 31 (RHC-PL) -- François Rancy, Director of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), has acknowledged Cuba's prestige in terms of radio communications.
During a meeting with Jorge Luis Perdomo, Cuban First Deputy Communications Minister, Rancy praised Cuba's active participation in the work of ITU. He expressed the UN agency's commitment to strengthening exchange and cooperation with the Caribbean nation in its many fields of competence.
Perdomo is leading Cuba's delegation to the current session of the ITU Council in Geneva, where he spoke about digital television transition in Cuba.
