The United States is already immersed in the longest and, predictably, most fierce electoral campaign between the Democratic and Republican parties to occupy the White House and lead the first economic and military power for four years, starting in 2025.

The rivals are old acquaintances, they have faced each other before and none of them is willing to yield in the pursuit of the privileges of power, which is in this case the main incentive, beyond trying to practice public service or the common welfare of its citizens.

Donald Trump will try to occupy the Oval Office again, from where Joseph Biden does not want to leave, despite the judicial mess surrounding the former or the wear and tear of the latter's advanced age, in particular the doubts about his memory.

The choleric real estate tycoon Trump is already setting fire to social networks, the main sounding board of his campaign, with a pantagruelic and sometimes apocalyptic language.

Of the latter he has one of his most recent messages when he said that if he does not win the elections, a bloodbath will occur in the country.

Normally, one would think that this is an exaggeration to heat up tempers at the start of the race, but it is very difficult to forget or set aside what happened on January 6, 2021, when the hordes whipped up by Trump attacked the Capitol building in Washington.

On that occasion, blood flowed and at least one person was killed, in addition to several wounded and serious damage to the emblematic building, all because the outgoing president refused to accept defeat.

Several analysts wonder what he meant by the bloodbath, a phrase uttered in the context of the tycoon's criticism of China, a country with which he has a particular vendetta.

It is also known his hatred towards migrants and the threats he makes against those who are at the border with Mexico, waiting for a chance to enter U.S. territory and who are increasingly more.

It is still early to know voting intention trends, but Donald Trump already had his first losses when his former vice-president, Mike Pence, announced that he will not support him in this electoral race.

The fact is that the circus is already open and there will be no shortage of entertainment, without forgetting that whatever happens at the polls next November will have an inevitable repercussion for our region and the rest of the world. War forewarned, my friends, does not kill soldiers.
