Almost half a million Palestinians fled the sectors attacked by the Zionist Israeli army in the city of Rafah, in the extreme south of the Gaza Strip, where the situation is desperate due to bombardments, land incursions and the lack of food and medicine.

A drama of great proportions that is unfolding under the undaunted gaze and with only lukewarm declarations from the major Western powers, headed by the United States, which maintains all its political and military support to the Tel Aviv regime.

The total number of dead exceeds 35,000 and the wounded amount to 79,000, according to a balance of the Palestinian health authorities, but these figures could be much higher because in reality nobody knows how many people are under the rubble.

The attacks in the north of the strip forced hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to move to the south, but that did them no good because they are now threatened by a massacre that is being coldly calculated by a State which, without blushing with shame, declares itself before the world as God's chosen people.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid denounced that the new Zionist blockade to the entry of humanitarian aid at the border crossings is rapidly increasing the levels of malnutrition and disease.

Under the present circumstances, the risk of epidemic outbreaks is very high and up to a couple of weeks ago more than 415,700 cases of diarrheal diseases and some 61,000 cases of acute jaundice syndrome were documented, according to the World Health Organization.

None of this is of any concern to Washington, London or Paris, where support for Benjamin Netanyahu remains unchanged, who is already going down in history as one of the world's great genocidaires, together with Adolf Hitler, who seems to be his main mentor and guide.

Meanwhile, the Arab League, meeting the day before in Bahrain, called for the deployment of a UN peacekeeping force in the Palestinian territories occupied by Israel until the establishment of a Palestinian state.

That body also called for the immediate holding of an international peace conference in the Middle East.

Of course, Netanyahu has already expressed his rejection of these initiatives and no one doubts that, if the issue reaches the Security Council, it will also be vetoed by the United States, whose hands are dipped in blood.
