It took a few years for the world to become aware of the magnitude of the genocide perpetrated by the German Nazi regime against various peoples during World War II and there are still those who still make discoveries about these massive crimes today.

Many, for example, still believe that it was only a planned extermination against the Jews and it is true that they were the main victims, but they also exterminated countless gypsies, homosexuals and even Germans, particularly communist militants and opponents of Adolph Hitler. .

What practically everyone agrees on is that the guilty of these crimes deserve total repudiation and the punishments imposed at the Nuremberg Tribunal were fair, despite the fact that many genocidaires managed to escape the arm of justice.

Today things are different, the world has changed and it is difficult to think that this is for the better.

The Zionist regime of Israel, for example, is committing genocide against the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip in the open, under everyone's gaze, thanks to television and social networks.

The modern media is bringing the details of this massacre to millions of eyes, we can see the corpses and the pain and fear in the eyes of the Palestinian children, the explosion of the bombs and the scattered rubble are recorded on the screens.

And in this Dantesque spectacle, the lukewarm response of the world draws powerful attention and the only thing left to do is ask the question of whether the brutal evidence of the massacre is dulling people's sensitivity?

Protest demonstrations, meetings, sit-ins and occupation of public spaces occur, but it is so that people do not fit in the streets, that no company with Israeli capital sells a single dollar and that governments, regardless of political color, break relations with Tel Aviv.

But it is even worse, because the leaders of several Western powers boast of their support for Israel, and the largest of them, the United States, sends it weapons and ammunition, becoming an accomplice in the massacre.

Others, like Chile, have double standards. On the one hand it announces its support for the accusations against the Zionist government before the International Court of Justice, but on the other hand it maintains commercial, military and diplomatic relations with that pariah state.

Israel kills in public and the world turns away, just when there is the technology to see everything firsthand. Is this evolution?
