Rome, September 13  (RHC)--An International Workshop on Business Development in the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries Sector will be held in Havana from November 25 to 27, Cuba's embassy in Italy reported on Thursday.

The event titled 'BioNegociosCuba2019' is organized by the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industry Group of Cuba (BioCubaFarma) with the support of the Investment and Technology Promotion Office of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in Italy (UNIDO, ITPO and Italy).

A note released by the Cuban diplomatic mission stresses that participants in the workshop will be able to acquire valuable information firsthand, through the presentation of BioCubaFarma projects and direct exchanges with representatives of the Group's enterprises.

Foreign representatives will also present their strengths and capabilities in the event, which aspires to become an excellent opportunity to seek beneficial alliances among all foreign and Cuban participants, the text indicates.

The note also highlights the importance of the encounter to learn about the biotechnology and the pharmaceutical industry in Cuba, hear the points of view of its main actors, and identify complementary capacities and ongoing projects attractive to both sides, among other areas.

The first day of the event will be dedicated to presentations of BioCubaFarma companies, their products, research and development projects, associations and other business models, proposals to attract foreign investment and goals for building alliances.

During the second day, foreign entities will make their presentations while the last days will be devoted to bilateral meetings.
