Renowned Cuban historian, Dr. Gloria García, was awarded post-Morten the National History Award for the work of her entire life at the International Book Fair that winds up on Sunday in Havana.
García passed away on November 23rd, 2013, leaving a great legacy of historical research, including books such as Monopolios norteamericanos en Cuba. Contribución al estudio de la penetración imperialista (US monopolies in Cuba. Contribution to the study of the US occupation) and La esclavitud desde la esclavitud. La visión de los siervos (Slavery from slavery. The slaves’ vision). The Havana stage of the International Book Fair, Cuba 2014, winds up on Sunday.
