Popular British singer and actor, Tom Jones, visited the National Ballet School of Cuba, where he exchanged with professors and students and watched a program that included the Little Prince, a block of solos and the Grand Pas of ballet Paquita.
At the request of the show’s M.C. and translator, the famous British performer sang the song Dilalah who made him famous in the 1960’s. Upon saying goodbye to the school, he encouraged the students and professors to keep up the good work, wished them good luck and told them that their performance moved him as no other performance in his famous BBC show The Voice UK, where he listens to the most talented young singers who come to the show.
Jones, who is on the island for the Havana Cigar Festival currently underway in the Cuban capital, began his artistic career in 1963 and, with his great voice, he has been able to sing all kinds of music genres, including pop, rock, country, dance and techno.
